Dolly doing some western pleasure. First time I rode her pleasure in a LONG time.

Rude comments will be removed instantly. I'm not looking for help with my riding. This video is so old it's useless to give feedback from it.

  • i know u dont want rude comments but AQHA has actually been getting rid of the "peanut rollers" and the horses that barely move if u look at the new rules they want a nice extention in all the gaits and the neck has to be level with the wither andif you watch a 2008 congress video u will c that .... :) and ur horse is cute

  • the word your looking for is 'trying' to get rid of. What do you think about blocking tails? Or slicing stifles to get slower movements? So what if the head has to be up, that's not even a major part of why I will not show AQHA, a lot has been going wrong in that circuit. yes they are /trying/ to fix it, but /trying/ is not really good enough for how far it's gone

  • I wish all pleasure horses were like that. Too bad the sport was destroyed when the peanut-rollers took over. LOVE HER!

  • not to mention the spur stop that kills any potential a horse has for other events

  • my horse is named Dolly too :)

  • Not always. I have a western pleasure mare that does lots of other events successfully, even with the spur stop.

  • Wow. Finally someone who understands!

  • that is so right. It should be a pleasure for rider, and horse. It should be more horsemanship then just looking good, and going slower, and having a head lower.

  • yep. all that congress crap with horses that barely move. Wasnt pleasure supposed to be horses that were "Pleasureable to ride". well, going that slow may be comfortable, but not exactly fun...

  • I agree. Specifically AQHA ruined the sport. I mean slicing the stifles, numbing their tails? Why not just train your horse, rather then physically make them do it. And I understand this mare needs work FROM WHAT IS SHOWN, but rude comments WILL be taken away.
