Specs in '92-'95. VW 2.8L 172 hp V6 w/178 ft/lbs, Honda 1.8L 4cyl VTEC w/160 hp /116 ft/lbs. From a rolling start, seriously? VR6 is already producing more torque/hp @ 2300rpm than the VTEC ever will, and it has to be nearly redlined to get to its powerband, so your driving for a rolling start at redline? VR6 torque curve is flat, making 123-172 ft/lbs the ENTIRE range up to redline. Facts are facts, look up the figures in '92, Corrado was SCCA autocross champ over VTEC then too, its a fact...

I own a 92 Corrado SLC with cams/chip/intake, and i love every minute of driving my car. i respect ANY gearhead who puts in the time to work on their cars, and sure maybe the economy honda VTECs run fine, but truth of the matter is, these arent throw away cars, there is no GETTING ANOTHER ONE, there is no 'my homeboy has a shop and i can do backyard turbos yo" so we take care of our Corrados. ive had at least a handful of ppl tell me that the corrado was the best car they had/have.
