  • GP2X is an opensource/openhardware handheld console AFAIK

  • @rlameiro: Thanks, I should have looked that up. I did just read the wiki on it. Cool idea. Although, The Nokia N800 can be about cheaper and is a nice machine. I had an NES emulator on that that ran great. But, the GP2X had more physical buttons, which is important when it comes to gaming, and if I read it right, the GP2X's hardware is Open-Source as well as the software. This is also very important.

  • @metalx1000 yea, and now there is the open-pandora box that it is also a opensource project

  • @rlameiro: $330! Ouch! It will be great when these things get down to the $50 range. I think we are getting close to that or at lest sub $100.

  • @metalx1000: Of course three is always the ZipIt.

  • @maw88ify Why would you regurgitate Adobe's statistics? You know that is horseshit. They provide wholly subpar support for everything and then wonder why no one uses it. Did you ever use Adobe Air for Linux? It was awful. It's not cross platform if you don't work to make it run well on each platform. Adobe could have their own operating system, based on linux, CRUSHING others, if they just had the brains to exploit it, like Google did.

ACE (Adobe Creative Environment) There, I named it.

  • @downwithdinosaurs Not true Adobe did try making products for Linux , but NO ONE was using them so the stopped developing . Adobe Air is made, and Adobe Reader is MADE FOR LINUX... Adobe says " We recognize the importance of the Linux community; however after studying the market opportunity for the sale of a commercial Linux Flex Builder/Flash Builder product, Adobe has decided to direct future development toward new features instead of adding additional Linux platform support to the product."

  • @maw88ify None of Adobe's products are made for Linux. Just because you can get moderate performance, using Wine, does not indicate fully functional status. Adobe has terrible support for Flash player and they have discontinued Air support for Linux. They are assholes.. Flash sucks cock.

  • @maw88ify Oh thats cool. I'll have to look into that. I may look into getting Flash now. Anyways, you do have a point. But I think that for a free program, game editor is phenomenal. It isn't, nor will it probably ever be, as popular or as good as Flash, but thats a given. In most cases, a program that costs $699 is going to be much better than one that is free.

  • @FloobenShnooben Flash CS5 can run on Linux I made a video showing cs5 running in Linux. Not the point however Flash CS5 can make Air apps that will run on Linux , and Flash player will also run on Linux... It is way easier to program games using Flash...

  • @maw88ify That be it as it may, this is free, unlike Flash CS5. I also believe that flash does not run under Linux. Correct me if I'm wrong :)
