@TheOldkid888 Thanks! I will try to replace the cartridge with the technique shown in the video and will let you know the results.

@kmacmurchy Hello;
Sometimes where the washers and springs meet there can be a little wear on that surface. If it is not perfectly smooth you will have to change the whole cartridge. It has a lot to do with water quality and if the water is hard then I would suggest changing the cartridge itself.
Thanks for commenting and best of luck!!! Al

I just did the springs and washers as you said.

@kmacmurchy Hello;
I once got a call about a leaky tub and shower faucet and what took place was the cartridge was not pushed in all the way. Basically the nut that holds the cartridge in place was not tightened enough. Not saying this is your problem; just a suggeestin. Did you replace the entire cartridge or replace the springs and washers? Drop me a line and let me know what you have done in your repair.
Hope to hear from you soon! Al
You mentioned that Delta will replace the cartridge at no charge. This is half the information. It can be replaced at no charge if you can provide proof of purchase on the tub/shower system you have. Delta's warranty is for original owner only.

@WolfBeretta Hello Wolf;
I have never had a problem getting the cartridge myself, but you bring up an interesting point. Some places may want a receipt for sure.

How do I turn water off for a shower? Should I turn off at the street?
LittleRedHen123 2 weeks ago
@LittleRedHen123 Hello;
Usually there is a shut-off in your house or apartment that will turn the water off to the dwelling. If not you will have to go the street, but I would say there is one somewhere inside the building that will turn the water off to the entire place. Most shower and bath faucets do not have seperate shut-offs for them; so I usually have to turn the water off to the building.
Best of luck and thanks for commenting!!! Al

I am a homeowner with a single shower knob ( tub/shower) in a spare bathroom. yesterday i went to run the shower (just for the hell of it) both the spout and shower head do not recieve hot water. when the hot water is selected i lose pressure and i never recieve hot water however both the sinks have hot water with no problem. do i have a blockage? what would be my first step?

@bigzacque Hello Big;
It is possible you have a blockage, but highly unlikely. If you have hot water coming to the sinks then it is more then likely your faucet. It may just be a matter of moving the adjustment sleeve on the faucet itself ( it is the one that controls your water temperature). It is shown in the video near the end where I am moving it to a few notches. This maybe your only problem and I would say there is a good chance of this.
