Good to know. Here's hoping iphone OS 4.0 might open up some more functionality options.
Well anyways, this is a great app. Really appreciate the attention to detail that went into making it. :)

Does is also support podcasts and audiobooks? Also, while the flasy lights and album art might look ,great, I do hope theres an option to turn them all off. After all I want to use this thing in my pocket for safety and battery life.

I cannot find any music from The Frets?!
No entries in iTunes?!
Where can I find their music - they sound cool!

This is my absolute favorite app on my iPhone. Because I have it connected to my car and I use this app to see the current song including the cover. And for sure I use the simple and intuitive gestures to control the player.
It is so easy to jump to the next song. I also often use the shuffle mode and listen to my music.
Thanks to the developer. Great app!!!

great app, but I originally bought it thinking it would work while locked, but still great app :)
While nearly perfect with the last update, with all those gesture customization options.
One feature the default music player has keeps me away from FluxTunes a lot
I've found it very useful to sort music tracks by "Star Rating". (And then use Smart Playlists, to break them up into 6 automatic playlists)
Unfortunately, FluxTunes, (nor any app I've encountered) has the functionality of rating songs.
If FluxTunes had this feature, it would replace my use of the default music app entirely :)

@greyflcn Apple hasn't allowed access for third party apps to change song ratings, so unfortunately FluxTunes (and other third-party apps) aren't currently able to provide this functionality.

Podcasts/audiobooks are supported (need to switch them on on settings). The best option for battery life is to switch on the proximity sensor (again in settings- only available on iPhone, not iPod touch). The whole display then switches off in pocket- battery usage is then similar to using the built-in player with display locked. The player is not responsive to touches while the screen is off- unfortunately we don't have access to turn off just the backlight and leave touch sensitivity enabled.

what about when the screen dims and u have to press the button and swipe to turn it on again or does fluxtunes stay on all the time and kill your battery?

FluxTunes will disable the normal autolock, so uses more power than when the phone is locked.
When the phone locks, gestures are disabled. To control FluxTunes, the user would have to manually unlock, then do the gesture. Cumbersome.
If power/battery is an issue, you can manually lock (button on the top of your iPhone/iPod Touch). FluxTunes will continue, with music playing from your selection. When you unlock the phone, current track info will be on screen, and gesture controls enabled again.
