Even the 1997 Flyers? Cause i seem to remember them getting CRUSHED by the Detroit Red Wings 4-0. The Eastern Conference wasn't strong that year, so the Flyers were able to use their top line to blitz through the first 3 rounds...kind of like the Pens did with their top line (Sid, Hossa, and Dupuis)...but then they ran into a much more experienced Detroit team, that even though it didn't have the talent the Pens have, it had a good system and great defense(which wins Cups).

This one guy believes that the entire series was fixed in the Flyers favor). So, if you think that Flyers fans are the only ones who complain constantly, you are sadly mistaken.

If they were a championship team, than they would have won...they were like the 1983 Oilers...all the talent in the world, but didn't have the experience to beat the Red Wings, who had tons of Finals experience to add with alot of talent. And im not whinning..i openly admit the Penguins were just a better team this year. And if the Flyers suck and have since 1975, than the Pens must Suck, will suck, and have sucked since 1992. In the end, all that matters is how many Cups each team has:2.

First of all, stop calling them "Cryers" cause the Pens cry and whine all the time...every team whines. As for the Caps, every expert and analyst picked them to win the series in 6/7 games...read Scott Burnside from ESPN, Alan Muir from Sports Illustrated, etc...The only one who picked the Flyers was Wes Goldstein from CBS Sports. And the flyers deserved to be in the playoffs...i never said the Finals. They didn't have a team able to beat the Pens, that's what i saying.

Heavily favored? The Caps were lucky to get in the playoffs from the worst division in the NHL.

The Cryers didn't look at all like they deserved to be in the finals....they looked like little kids compared to the Pens.
