Part 1 of a 2 video set featuring Beethoven's overture "The Ruins of Athens" Op. 113 as performed on May 19, 2010 by "The Really Terrible Orchestra Of the Triangle (RTOOT)" at their Spring 2010 concert in Hill Hall Auditorium, UNC, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and conducted by RTOOT's assistant conductor, Michael G. Lyle.
PART 1: The Glory of Athens: The glorious beginning of Beethoven's overture to "The Ruins of Athens". On second thought it would perhaps be better referred to as "terribly glorious", at least judging from the terrible sound of it. Or better yet, after all considerations, it could simply and elegantly (if not correctly) be regarded as: "gloriously terrible". But let's be honest, shall we? It's just plain TERRIBLE! But what else could one expect when it's being played by the Really Terrible Orchestra of the Triangle (RTOOT)?
