Dr. Bakker paraphrased Leonardo da Vinci to explain why great paleontologists tend to be great artists, too. In this video, draw along with Dr. Bakker as he explains his signature paleo art style, step by step.

  • Why have I never gotten to draw with Dr. Bakker :( That makes me really sad. I couldn't hold a candle to his abilities, but still, that would be fantastic!

  • Its great, when i was 15, (15 years ago) I sat a table at a hotel in Como Bluff at one of his nightly seminars and watched him draw a dinosaur skull, with bones, followed by muscles and then the skin, layer after layer, still have the drawing at home after i meekly asked for it as a souvenir ...

  • after all these years, they managed to get the number of fingers right.

    wish i had kept it in better condition but i rolled it up for some reason :/
