this is an absolutely SHIT job. (You don't even need a high school degree to install dishes)..... and having to work in shitty weather and shitty buildings, it gets old quick. I liked installing my own dish, and wiring my entire house MYSELF (would never let a "tech" touch anything in my home).......but I could not imagine doing that EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Must be a blast putting together those dishes every day, and running cable in sub zero temps....LOL....pathetic. These dish techs are so lazy

yea direct tv is great unless you run into problems cause they are a bunch of lazy assholes, well most of them when they first set us up the guy didnt set it up right becuase he was lazy but the next guy was really hard working he did it right and didnt just want to get it over with like the other guy

you use a birddog to peak the odu once a LOS as been established with a inclinometer then you put the odu up in the location where the LOS then hook up your LNB to your Bird dog and start to tune.

more like give DTV a break its not like they took into conderaiton your thoughts on the matter of where to put the odu. lol. just close the window. Im sure you have more windows in your house to look out of lol..

thats why you have a bird dog, if there is no LOS, dont do the install or tell the customer what its going to happen if you doit, that way he wont call the next day asking for a tech to go fix his shit
