Midland Heart - The Regeneration of Ley Hill

The comprehensive regeneration of Ley Hill has involved a major large-scale clearance and redevelopment programme for the Ley Hill estate to address the lack of community cohesion, poor local services and low quality housing.

Prime Focus was selected as the preferred affordable housing partner for the redevelopment programme by a resident led panel, and work began in earnest on the clearance of the 700+ properties in 2001. The project has created 440 new high quality homes over two phases. Phase 1 of the project (20 Units) was completed in 2003, and phase 2 (141 properties) was completed in February 2007. The project has developed a selection of houses, bungalows and flats for rent, shared ownership and low cost home ownership.
