If you look real close ... the train actually "spears" the car. You can see it attached to the locomotive a few feet off the tracks holding the car up and probably to keep it from gouging the ties and ballast.

that train is in comision on the fillmore&western in california. i was there today and was like "that train looks firmilier is that train from rails&ties" to the rail worker and he said "maybe i don't know:
