Question: I was circumcised when I was born because of my Dad's stupid religious beliefs. I'm really angry about it knowing that I didn't ask for it. I've read places that the foreskin is like necessary for protection and stuff. What do you think about circumcision?

circumcision is cosmetic and no cosmetic alteration should ever be done to a baby or child. unless they are informed and consent. a baby cannot consent!

i told a friend of mine that another friend just had a baby and then had a piece of the babys genitals cut off . (i said nothing about gender) my friend looked shocked. then later i told him it was a boy and a circumcision. my friend then said "oh thats ok tho why dident you tell me from the start"

why is it different if the child is male???

Right on Dan and Jenn I like your stand. Its views from people like Mlia25 is the reason this keeps on happening to boys! It is his body and his god damn choice not yours! sorry! My father was circumsized and guess what im not. I have never had any issues... I shower once a day and clean it. What ever a "cut" guy says about how clean it is or about higher chance of stds bla bla bla. I only say is you have no damn idea what you have lost....

Uncircumcised is the way to be! If you don't agree, then by all means, circumcise your daughters.

@ElasticGiraffe A practice narrowly endorsed by WHO in extremely limited circumstances (sexually active males only in specific communities of eastern and southern Africa where the HIV rate exceeds 5%). The WHO has never, ever in its history endorsed male infant circumcision or suggested men should be cut outside of areas with a viral epidemic. Moreover, the WHO can't even adequately articulate why circumcision may be appropriate in some areas; they merely guess as to possible causation.

@TehhAMP And my parents let me intact and I'm very happy also but if it I wasn't happy with my foreskin I just could have a circumcision. The problem is that if you wasn't happy with your circumcised penis, you could do nothing about it because your parents make an irreversible surgery on your body and more important , without your permision. It's your penis, you must decide if you want ro no a circumcision, that's the subject. (sorry for my bad english :) )

@madbr3991 this is all down to sick indoctrination, chiefly in the USA where is it common to lie to the extreme. Infant mutilation is a multi billion $ business in the US, and among the religious a bronze age ritual that, in both cases, does nothing other than to partly destroy another person's sexual organs without their permission.

@eaberg214 When amputated the penis is no longer functions properly as a sexual organ as intended by nature. If you have been amputated you can't know. Any surgical modification especially the removal of healthy functional body parts IS mutilation by definition. If someone chopped the nose of your face it has been mutilated. If someone chops off the most sexually sensitive part of your genitals you have been seriously injured and mutilated as a result. Intact people enjoy heavenly healthy sex.
