English Project Final Spring 09

This is my final english project for english 2030 at mtsu, we had to write a poem or short story but i couldnt do either so i decide to make a music video. It is a video dedicated to 4 of my friends that are in the military and to all members of the armed forces. It took about 35 hours of collecting photos and video, and editing. There words tell a story along with the pictures. Everything but the music is original.

Words:

As I left Home,
To defend our country,
A foreign land awaits,
With bothers side by side,
And piercing machine in hand,
Hot lead starts to fly,

As I look around to see many more like me,
Who waits around the corner,
A dastardly enemy,

After a hard days battle,
Another one awaits,
To protect these people,
Only to survive another day,

Finally a moment of rest,
And some R&R,
To return home,
Only to train again,

Brothers still by my side,

And ink to remember,
Fallen Bothers,
Now I leave loved ones again,
And return to this horrid place,
A place of hell


Out here on the sea,
Mounds of metal as my home,
Guns larger than you and me,

Landing strips travel,
Providing aerial support,
Over this vast colony,
Even the unknown down below,
And the blazing blades from above,

All come together,
To make one powerful me.


Standing here bearing arms,
Marching through and through,
Training for reality,

For all types of war,
Now I bear our flag,
And honor thy family,
Now prepared I am ready,
To do whatever it takes,
To maintain peace,
and avoid the terror of war,

Giving to the community,
And honoring thy country,
Through strength,
And for loved ones.



Ready to climb aboard,
To prepare this relief,
Many are ready to climb to the sky,

Trusting this machine,

And these two men,

While I ready this package diligently,

Ready for the drop,
As raging air pierces me,
Looking down below,
Many wishing they could be.

this is really kol. i too have friends in the armed forces and i soon hope to join them. for any1 hoping to join this would be a good vid to watch and give them some kinda idea what they are headed towords...
