Please remember, this is Youtube and as such the audio quality is severely downgraded. This does not represent the absolutely stunning sound quality on the actual system.

All components are 100% original and in PERFECT like new condition and took several years to source together.

Marantz 6200 fully automatic turntable
Marantz HD-880 200w Speakers with Vari-Q plugs
and The BEAST... *The 2325 Receiver rated at 125wpc

*An original wood case will be added when I find a new one.

All the best (reasonable) cables and interconnects are used including an Audio Power Industries Balanced AC line conditioner Model Ultra 116

Recorded in HD on a Lumix FZ35

The song playing is "Winter Solstice"
Yes, that's an original Splendor Solis album by The Tea Party

Can you write where the speakers are done? In which country?

  • I have a pair of JBL L166s, rated at 75W continous power at 8 ohms. Could you recommend a vintage receiver (Marantz, Sansui) that would be appropriate for them? Also, can a person run a cd player through a vintage amp? Thanks for any info.

  • all in all, great setup bro, check mine out here on youtube at sansuiman100, or at sansui/pioneer setup

  • there are many keys to having a set of speakers that sound great..first off, as said before, they must have enough drivers to cover all the spectrums....second off, they must be paired up with the right amp and or receiver and eq combo, third off correct size wire ...i have 4 sansui spx8000's and a sansui g7000 myself, and ive owned many receivers...i had a technics rated at 110 per channel, my sansuis....they sounded like crap on that, but put them on my g7000, and theyre smooth and rich

  • It really does seem that the key to good speakers is having several drivers to carry all the frequencies. Every high fidelity system I've ever heard whether it be a live PA or private home stereo always has speaker systems the don't rely only on one or two drivers to carry all the sound across the spectrum.

  • What was the name and artist of the album that was playing, system sounded fairly good.

  • @jogmas12 I respect your politeness, usually people will continue to argue....these speakers were quite pricey for the day...but I believe they were worth it. Happy New Year.

  • @earnhardtfanthree well ok when it comes to large woofers and multi drivers one should spend more accordingly, i agree.

  • Nice Stereo Nice 12 Woofers. I Have Bose Speakers.

  • Should Play "Black Dog" By Led Leppelin
