@sludgefingers Thank you for your response. I'm using Dimarzio Super Distortion/Paf Joe in a Les Paul copy. Which I believe will sound more open with a 100 watt not high gain amp. Hmmm maybe I should have put this in my original post, lol oops.

@HandRpuffin Personally I think the Artisan range is good for hard rock BUT not if you're talking in terms similar to hi-gain metal. My personal opinion is that they're the perfect blues-rock/classic-rock amp, tho you might still need a drive/boost pedal at times, esp if you can't wind the volume right up (they are LOUD amps). They do take FX very well though. Their clean sounds are fantastic - punchy and full. BTW Blackstar do the Series One range for metal.

all our R&D is done in Northampton England. Our manufacturing site is in Korea.
