@minty4287 Thank you, and God Bless you for sharing that story. I've been having the feeling for a while now that I needed to cry for some reason (there are any number of reasons why), but just couldn't do it. I awoke with this song in my head this morning, and was led here. After watching and listening to my favorite Sting song, I read your message. That opened the gates and I cried like a babe for about 15 minutes. I now feel refreshed. Wonder why us men aren't allowed to cry?

when I listen to this, I seem to see ghosts and so does everybody else too.

@minty4287 Thank you for sharing that beautiful story. I lost my mentor two years ago. Before he passed, he played guitar on an album I made. Everytime I play a few of the songs, his guitar comes on and it feels like he's still here. I'm glad you can see your husband anytime you want in this beautiful video.

@minty4287 ...If it was me in your place, it would destroy me to watch this video... I mean, I'd be happy, but also really distressed. As it is, I listen to this song sometimes and think of my father, and feel quietly wretched.

@minty4287; Wow. You've just added a brand-new dimension to this beautiful song and video for me. My most sincere condolences. Amazing synchronicity I'd venture to say!
This was the last thing my late husband worked on (he is the sailor with the beanie hat and the big beard). I've not seen it till now and he passed away in November 1993. I came home from a birthday meal tonight , turned the tv on and Sting was on singing this - I decided to check it out on the internet - first time I've done this - and there he was - what a birthday present

In today's society, the media tries to tell you who your role models should be, and then when they make a mistake they're crucified. The thing to remember is we're all human. We're all prone to mistakes, to living in the moment, to being selfish, it's part of being human. Instead of looking to others for how you should live your life, figure out what kind of person you want to be and do the best you can to be that person. Acknowledge your mistakes in life but also use them to learn.
