@jjhhkkful (continued) 1994 Senna finally was back into a "seemingly" good car, but the ban of electronic aids and the such was a bad thing for Williams, since the car itself was made with driving aids in mind and it took them almost ALL of the 1994 season to tune it up to perfection (leading to 96 and 97 DC for Hill and Villeneuve, and CC in 94 and 95), too bad poor Ayrton was not there to witness the fruits of his labour.

Its a misunderstanding that Ayrton was ALWAYS in the best car

@jjhhkkful Actually the Toleman was bad. The Lotus was ok, kinda like an AMG mercedes of today. Capable of third and fourth Driver's and Constructor's Championship finishes but nothing more. He made it sing. Then Mclaren 88 89 90 and 91 was a BOMB, but arguably so was Williams by 1990, more so by 1991. in 1992 and 1993 Senna had a car that was not powerful enough and moreover NOT reliable , whereas the Williams really took off in those two years (1993 especially).

@MauricioCaran never in senna's career he had the worst car..he always got one of the best cars on the grid!!and in 1991 mclaren was equal if not better than williams,which had huge reliability problems and made mansell miss the first 3 races of the season plus many other retirements along the season...

don't get me wrong senna is one of the greatest natural talents in the history of f1...but also is mansell!!!and he won that battle with pure driving skill and racing instinct.
