Why isnt this video tagged with bill stewart and steve swallow?!?!?!?!

Steve Swallows bass has such a unique tone. But I bet it gets lost in a really loud setting.

wow

he stomps that shit, too much for ordinary carpets to handle haha

well must be because it kinda glides on the floor... i mean he's really pushing hard on it, which would explain. becuse i don't think it's on purpose... i play drums and personnally i hate it when i have to get my hihat back in place...!
ah, just LOVE bill stewart. probably my favourite "living" drummer...

Perhaps my favorite modern jazz trio. Scofield is so inspired and so funky. Stewart is awesome, his playing is so tasty and Swallow is perfect in this context. Thanks for sharing the video.

Listening to Scofield over the years i can clearly hear how much he has absorbed from each and every other musician hes played with. He's such a musical sponge. However, he never merely regurgitates what he aborbs, he sythesizes everything. So we might hear traces of Frissell etal. but we always hear Sco. 'Nough said.
