This is a really great piece from one of the poets from Rochester, NY at the Brave New Voices semis 2008 in DC. Thanks for checking it out and remember to show love to the poets. Peace and love.

  • What does her weight have to do with what she's trying to deliver to us? All in all that poem was very nice, though the yelling could have been kept to a minimum. I enjoyed this piece.

  • This poem is poorly paced and way over the top..She has no stamina left at the final 1/3rd of her presentation..She's exhausted herself.. A little funny to be truthfully honest...

  • Sorry people but this young poet has no talent.If one tells her that she does, they're only doing her disservice.This poem works to the contrary to what she intended to achieve; that is to cease the flippant use of the word "niggah" amongst ourselves n attempt to eradicate it from our vocabulary.But it's become apparent that she's caught up in its clutches and can't extricate herself from its power.

    I myself am sick of the niggah,wiggah,triggah,biggah,jiggah poems n raps.

    Aren't u?

  • @Kaonnya A reminder not to "abuse the word"?Are u kidding me?If this was her intent then surly she has failed to convey the message.She's reveling n boisterous delight by her unceasing use of the word.She's caught up n the word n can't extract herself from it.The word has become a drug which defeats the purpose of her poem.Bottom line is this, "niggah" is a catchy hook which appeals to young rappers n so-called poets.Its effect hits like a ton of bricks.Don't "use the word" n it won't be abused.

  • @lestmbly I believe its just a way to remind our black kind that we no longer need to abuse the word

  • Yeahhhh Girl Straight Killedd It Yo ! .

  • @clamya33 As an African American, this is an ignorant and embarrassing poem. It demonstrates how black so-called poets limit themselves by constantly choosing, low-brow, depressing and violent Afro centric themes.. Seems as if black poets are incapable, and not have the artistic ability, or sensitivities to compose anything other then the types of poems demonstrated in this video..This poem is garbage and teaches nothing..AMAZING? Haha ..You're not hard to amaze..

  • A M A Z I N G ;;

  • That was freaking amazing!

  • WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! lol LOVED this!!! i felt the whole thing...loved it.

  • Peace
