Red Skelton and Betty Garret perform from Neptune's Daughter, mirroring the performance by Ricardo Montalban and Esther Williams just before this in the movie. Now the man is the reluctant object of persuasion.
Red Skelton is pretending to be a Spanish polo player in the movie (sic!) - hence the wierd accent.
This is the first time the song, written by Frank Loesser and performed at private Hollywood parties by he and his wife, was used in a movie - first by Montalban/Williams, then by Skepton/Garret.

I am definitely gonna try to find a moment where I can do that coat flip!

  • @belialetta wow. the babyboomer generation makes me facepalm.

  • Well, I'm appalled. What message does this send to young people. That it is just fine and dandy to drink acohol and have "cigars" and make suggestions out of wedlock! About sexual intercourse!!!!! This young woman is coercing this gentleman against his will. This is rape. Perhaps she has even slipped a mickey into his drink. Did anyone even consider his feelings. This nation needs a return to traditional conservative Christian values. This is liberal free-love hippie garbage!!!

  • RIP Betty Garret

  • @BetweentheSticksUSA It is available for purchase, I thought, in an Esther Williams collection of quite a few movies. But I could be wrong.
