This short film was produced, written and directed by Robert E. Clyde for One Degree Media in conjunction with Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA Medical Center. Narrated by actress Nancy Travis (Bill Engvall Show, Becker) it highlights the great work and care of Dr. Uday & Sharin Devaskar who direct the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit at UCLA Medical Center. The film features a young family struggling through their newborn son's stay at the NICU. But thanks to the miraculous work and research done by this extraordinary team of doctors, this little boy is on his way home. Cinematographer was Benjamin Clyde. Editor was Allen Reuckert. Score by The American Professionals.

  • Where's the credit to the nurses? They're the ones actually @ the bedside 24/7. Not to take any credit away from the docs, but they don't do all of this in a vacuum.

  • The nurses are the backbone of patient care in the NICU, and in all sorts of medical settings, be they hospitals, local clinics, mobile medical units, etc.
