Quality voice actors (Billy West, Charlie Adler, etc.) often have a great comedic mind, Mel was no exception. It pisses me off today where they'll hire A-list actors to do voice overs just because they're a name they can put on the poster.

As cool as Mel Blanc is, I bit miffed that he took credit for creating Porky's voice. Joe Dougherty did the voice originally and Porky's stutter was real. In fact Joe Dougherty had such a bad stutter that it got in the way of the cartoons, so Blanc took over and toned down his stutter a bit.
