Tobey Gordon Dichter, founder of Generations Online http://generationsonline.org/ talks about ways of using the Internet for the elderly.
Internet technology is making the world a smaller place, but only for those who have the know-how and the access to it. The oldest generations are the least likely to use this technology, but are the most likely to benefit from its communications potential.
The mission of Generations on Line is to promote this technology to enhance the quality of life of older people.

Great project. One point Ms. Dichter brought up that I'd like to stress is that older people are just like you and me. They don't go online to find cheap viagara or cure for cancer. They have hobbies, likes and dislikes, and they have a life too. Same with disabled, terminal patients, and other "labelled" demographics. They are no different than everyone else.
On another note with regard to the elderly, the EldersTribune web site is hosting a writing contest for seniors.
