Why I'm No Longer at TWiT

I did NONE of the things Leo accuses me of doing. On a network where everything is recorded, those are easily verifiable lies. Leo's attempt to destroy my reputation was a last-ditch effort to prevent me from filling in for him on his national radio show "The Tech Guy." He torpedoed this opportunity with Premiere Radio while keeping it secret from me, then slandered me repeatedly on the air to save face with his audience. I made this video to set the record straight.

Leo's insistence that he was "mentoring," "coaching," and "grooming" me as his "protégé" to "replace" him is abhorrent and untruthful. He gave no feedback, ever, and deeply resented me for being compared to himself. He used every opportunity to reduce my airtime, limit my exposure, and withhold essential communication -- all while telling people I needed more of his "mentoring" before I could *really* be on the air. (That's just the tip of the iceberg.)

I only seek to clear my name and salvage my career. I have done nothing wrong to Leo or to anyone, and you already know me as a conscientious person who cares deeply about fairness. As always, I appreciate your support.

You're real, you're smart as hell, your topics and delivery are spot on ... leo is as faux as they come, and apparently a total asshole too ( but I already knew that, one reason I havent watched anything on that lame network since like 2009, other than your show ) ...

I enjoyed the youth and vigor Erik brought to TWiT. Leo's audience is stagnant and stifling. Sad to watch Leo hang on to a career that should have passed to Erik's generation more than a few years ago. Watching TWiT is creepy and uncomfortable to most people under 50 y/o.

it's sad really, once a manager or somebody who can get his/her ear dosent like you there is little you can do but hopefully find other work & jump before they push you out

I am thinking and this is total speculation, I wonder if Eileen and Tom saw the writing on the wall and thats why she took a job at Google and Tom followed (understandable as his wife has gone off cross state)

Leo is all about self-promotion. He constantly tries to upstage his co-hosts. He loves the spot light and will do whatever it takes to ensure it stays on him. I should also mention what he trashes on one show, he praises on another. He flip-flops like a typical liberal. I could go on...

My interest in Leo's shows have waned considerably since he moved out of the cottage. There was something about the one-man-show and how it seemed to be on a relative par with old media productions costing 100x as much or more. Amazing feat! Now he's just another big money operation that looks a lot like the old media stuff he was trying to get away from. Watching this montage of Leo on this is very eye-opening - and I saw most of this live. Good luck Erik. You got out just in time.
