The world is growing more and more hungry for energy. By 2035 global demand for energy may shoot up by more than one third, according to the World Energy Outlook 2010, the International Energy Agency's flagship publication. So where is this extra energy going to come from? And what sources are going to be used? Watch this video to find out more.

Money is Air, there is no such a thing as "we dont have money"

If the world wanted, we could convert to save, clean energy within next few years. Sort out global hunger and build schools, medical facilities in 3rd world countries.

If nothing changes in next 10-20 years we will be all fucked.

One word, fuck big as money hungry corporations.

Fuck Goverment which is driven by money and power.

  • There will be not enough energy in 2035 to feed our cars and the world. Growth will begin to stop now. And the monetary system will collapse without growth about 3..5%.

    Game Over.

  • Some search terms on advanced low-emission technology and solar thermal gasification of biomass -

"gerbilnow australias clean energy legislative package" and

"SUNgas: Thermochemical gasification of biomass using concentrated solar energy"

  • Technology allows far more efficient energy generation than the video suggests.

    Economists need engineers' advice.

Existing coal/biomass gasification with the latest CCGT power stations drastically reduce CO2 emissions, relative to coal power stations.

Carbon capture in gasifying biomass removes CO2 from the atmosphere.

Solar thermal gasification makes even faster cuts to CO2 emissions.

  • Nations are so in debt. Does anyone think these policies will be followed? They don't have the money! We are a world addicted to oil. It is the only reason almost 7 billion people exists on this planet. What do you think happens when oil is so expensive no one can afford it? Or when it is all dried up and gone? Prepare people.

  • I look forward to reading the report. The IEA is better positioned than most to forecast the industry's supply and demand worldwide. Their outlook is more bleak than the tone of the video would suggest - their view that we will miss the 2C target is underlined by solid forecasts of increased emissions. This matters - it means that if the world makes a greater effort to achieve the 2C target, significant changes - either cleaner (more costly) supply or reduced demand - will be needed.
