This was a music video that I had to make for my Intro to Digital Filmmaking class. It is about book shelving. There is my summary. I used the song The Castle by one of my favorite bands Love off of their album Da Capo from 1967.

  • You picked a good location for your video. There are countless possibilities for interesting shots in a place like that. Where do you go to school? What kind of films are you into?

  • I go to school at Clark University. The library they have which is called Goddard Library is this really fantastic building that was made in the 60's. Architecturally it is so amazingly weird. I find it to be one of the highlights of the university and working there is easy as well. I love all sorts of films. It is so hard to answer that. I love films old and new from around the world.

  • My favorite movie is Bringing Up Baby and I think the best film to come out this year that I have seen is A Serious Man. That's all I can give on a youtube comment : )

  • this is like a wes anderson movie!

  • i guess whether or not you like wes anderson depends on whether or not this is an insult or a compliment. he is one of my favs and tracking shots have always been my favorite no matter who shoots them. The overhead shot of the Fassbinder book was inspired by him as well. those were the only concious choices inspired by him. thanks!

  • oh and anderson uses 2 of love's songs in bottle rocket. my love for the band started before my knowledge of this.

  • A my love

    B my love

    so hard to choose

  • No actually I take that back. I love all of Wes Anderson's movies but I completely forgot about Life Aquatic. Thats prob more my favorite of his films followed by rushmore, darjeeling, royal tenenbaums, and bottle rocket respectively.

  • I have always wanted to do a video like this with some david bowie in the background or some elliott smith. Too bad I sadly do not have a camera or have sweet film editing skills like you do.

  • Wes Anderson is probably my favorite directors, everyone says that royal tenenbaums is the best but i probably lean more towards rushmore or darjeeling limited. I wish at the end of this movie all of the lights had turned off all at once. That would definitely have been a wes anderson shot. But you rocked this out all the same!
