@bigbentree I'm a complete beginner to digital art...Im more of a classical hands on artist but I was wondering how you did this....? I dont understand the whole layer thing or ....I'm lost and I desperately need your help!!!
-
@bigbentree i really like this illustration :) i recently bought myself a tablet so i can begin to draw too. The refining of the lines, did you really only do it by hand? :O I know photoshop got these fancy tricks to make straight lines by holding shift.
-
@bigbentree Do you mind if I ask the settings of the custom blender that you used called *blender* pls
-
Excuse me, What kind of tablet do you use? Do you use one? :o I'd really like to know, I wanna paint like you :o

@The3dmaster11 Not at all :D, Anime is pretty much like animated soap- operas, it has an on-going storyline.

How can I delete the lightning? I looked it up already, but I don't unterstand where the box is :/

Nice painting can i ask what tool you use for blending and which brush you use for blocking in the colours
Tools he/she used:
Basic round(coloring)
Blender (coloring)
2B Pencil("inking')

how can u color all those under one layer? and not ruining any of the colors? is this a feature available in only Corel Painter? I've always had the installation CD came when i bought my tablet. but i never really learnt how to use it to it's full potential.. I'm just used to Photoshop.. Any tips for a beginner?

@LenCastagnier In digital drawing, is easy to paint color in 100% opacity, which fully covers any color on the current layer. So it will be fine to use a hi opacity brush to draw the edges between different colors on a single layer.
But... No I don't draw everything in one layer... most of the time...

Did you ever take a art class and how long did it take you to make that? =D

I taught myself illustrating, beginning with my childhood passion for Gundam animations. Whenever I saw great manga and anime illustrations, I tried to figure out how they are made. I've been doing this since primary school :-D
Some would say this is the "hard" way of learning illustrating, but I think it is a solid approach. No tutorials or courses can subtitute your own observation and practice.
That being said, I was also given art courses in university. They helped a lot too!
