  • Im interested in what woods are used for this bass and your sei jazz bass (body and neck)? they sound amazing... keep it up

  • @bassistAB2 hey man - the two Sei basses I use both have ash bodies and maple necks - the one on this video has an ebony fingerboard, and bubinga 'stringers' down the length of the 7-piece neck - so I get a warm tone but with some attack from the ebony board - the Jazz style bass has a maple neck, birdseye maple fingeboard and an ash body - it's very resonanant and punchy! Hope that helps - they are great basses and I love both of them!

  • whats that picture of in the background

  • @WaterhouseFilms it's an etching I did when I was at art college back in the 1990s - I studied Fine Art and got my degree in that - shame I don't do much art these days!

  • one question.. what strings are you using in this? (including the gauge, wound and etc.) Thanks in advance!

  • @elykoko hi man - I'm using quite light guage from D'Addario - I have a 35 on the G down to the low B which is a 130... I had to mix up two sets to get the sound I like...!
