Rhythm of the Street

Rhythm of the Streets is an documentary on the Cincinnati based street musician Dishon Woody. The video gives viewers an insight into Dishon's history, his reasons for playing his music, and the troubles he has faced in his attempts to play his music.A street musician is not uncommon to see in an urban setting, but in the city of Cincinnati it is more unusual then one might think. Rhythm of the Streets brings the viewers to a place many have never peered, to reveal an amazing person who is often the victim of preconceptions and misunderstandings. What the viewer discovers is a man who is humble and caring, as told by his family and friends.
Rhythm of the Streets is the portrait of an artist who does not get the respect he is due, and how his will to persevere in the face of this brings out a music and a message that can only be produced by experiencing the rhythm of the streets.
