I really love Chris, I love his style, what he says, everything, but in this interview I disagree with him. When he says that perfection in climbing is without rope, tha't's not true. Because without rope you can't pass your limit. You have to do something that is UNDER your realpotential. On the other hand with rope you can do something OVER your potential and walk over your limit.

this guy really is like some kind of prophet. almost comparable to david carradine's spiritual wanderer from the old kung fu series. he's so shy, soft spoken and unpretentious, and i get the feeling he's more comfortable with mother nature than he is with people. thats quite an endearing characteristic though, you feel you could trust the guy implicitly. just hope he doesn't take the lone adventurer concept too far and end up like the tragic chris mccandless.
