The lake is open!...Stationary surfing at Avoca

Sometimes the the lake behind Avoca Beach is opened . This to stop flooding of some houses on the other side. For a few short hours after opening, it provides a very weird surfing experience.

I've seen this often and always meant to film it. This tim I was lucky. The song was written and performed by the Mounzers. Fletcher Charlton, I think he's the lead singer and als the drummer gave it to me when I described what I was going to edit.

By the way i don't know who the surfers are. My Daughter, Ellen, knows some of them. They are hr friends. If you know someone on the waves let them know about this.

A coming movie will be about the Lizards, the early morning swimming group and then a film about Dominique who's a great singer and the discover of Jirii Kripac. They will get their own moves soon. Mike Rubbo. The Butcher, the baker, the village film maker.

The open it when the water reaches a certain level. There's a marker near the bridge, apparently, on the fishing platform, a red triangle.

When the water level reaches the triangle, in come the bulldozers, or so i was told.

So there is no timetable, it depends on how much rain we get,

Yes, that dog is great. I guess the owner will find this clip in due course.

I repeated him three times because his amazing leap is so hard to spot. It almost seem like three dogs are jumping. I wonder what was going through his doggy mind?

You can catch a glimpse of my own little dog, Tosca, who was going dangerously close to the crumbling edge.
