Stuart Wells owns this Navy N3N trainer, and was entered in the National Aviation Heritage Invitational during the Reno Air Races. Stuart restored this aircraft, and continues to work on it an fly it regularly. This actual plane was flown by President George H.W. Bush during his Navy Flight training in Corpus Christi Texas.

  • Jeff, You're exactly right. Actually I just learned that no too long ago myself. I shot and edited this video several years ago. Stewart's a great guy, and I enjoyed talking to him that day and I've stayed in touch with him since. Thanks for the input, and correction. I hope to have more videos to post soon. Jeff Lee

  • Not true, The Naval Aircraft factory built more than one type. Just the N3N was produced more than any other type. What he did not mention was that the NAF also made the Engine too!!! Its a wright design but the navy bought the plans and the tooling to build their own engines for their airframes. Glad to see another N owner enjoying his airplane!! We do!!
