This video addresses a common question about the Catholic practice of calling upon the saints for help.
Passages are cited from the Revised Standard Version (Catholic Edition) of the King James Bible, copyrighted 1977.
1st Timothy 2:1-7 - First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony to which was borne at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Job 33:22-23, 26 - His [i.e. mankind's] soul draws near the Pit, and his life to those who bring death. / If there be for him an angel, a mediator, one of the thousand, to declare to man what is right for him; ...then man prays to God, and he accepts him, he comes into his presence with joy.
1st Peter 4:10-11 - As each has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who utters oracles of God; whoever renders service, as one who renders it by the strength which God supplies; in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

"And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, as we also are one" ~ Jesus Christ giving his glory to the Sts, his holy body, John 17:22....remeber GOD does not share his glory with another, so this means that the Sts are litteraly one with and in GOD.

@mpenaco Catholic Sts are part of the body of christ, and are given the glory of GOD, yes....This is biblical and your rejection tpo give glory to the body of Christ is against the command of GOD. The Sts are litterally made into a part of GOD you can not seperate what GOD has joined. How dare you speak a word against the holy body of GOD!

@mpenaco "Of course not, and nobody in Israel worshiped or bowed down to those images of angels inside the temple."
How silly everyone that came to the tmeple bowed in it, EVERYONE. It was also required that one should venerate the holy of holies in the temple as well as the ark of the coventante each having many graven images on them.

@mpenaco "God's command is simple: Not to make an image of anything"
Well then stop using your computer, and while your at it please go kill yourself as you are in the image of not only GOD but also of man.

@mpenaco The Pope has all temperal authority but he is not to run the church as a dictator. Any bishop in the church is the same as the Pope is(apostolic successore) but a primacy is given to the sucessore of Peter where it is made clear there is one chair and onc church. The Bishop of Rome is still a a bishop and should not step over another bishop unless a dire circumstance. Peter did not run around ordering the diciples of the other apostles around now did he.

@gtepp031387 God's command is simple: Not to make an image of anything, not to worship them or bow down to them. Now the question is, did God command his people to worship or bow down to those images in the temple? Of course not, and nobody in Israel worshiped or bowed down to those images of angels inside the temple. Their worship and bowing are always directed to God. But catholic images are being worshiped, spoken to, kneeled to, declared miraculous and powerful.

@gtepp031387 We blame the pope because he has the absolute power to remove priests who are found guilty of child molestation and yet he never excercised that power. Instead, those evil priests are being recycled to other parishes. That's why your popes are to be blamed as well. Paul sets an example for your church to follow in 1 Cor. 5 on how to discipline members who are found doing acts of sexual immorality. Is your church following Paul? NO! Instead, you make your own rules.

@gtepp031387 When Jesus went to the temple, did he call on any saint? Did he ask anyone in heaven other than God for mercy, protection and/or intercession?
You catholics are willing to try anything to twist and get away from the force of God's commandments. Repent and obey God's commandments.

@mpenaco Jesus also bowed in the temple of Jerusalem which has graven images all over it....so are you calling him a heretic?
