This is a minesweeper variant I invented and programmed. Instead of the numbers 0-8, all you get is solid-color squares. Sounds hard enough, but before each game those 9 colors are randomly swapped around, so you can't even memorize what colors mean what. You have to figure it out each time you open up a new board.
Very interesting... Do you have a method that allows you determine the colour scheme without ever failing, or does it take more guesswork at the start?

@riffz It often takes a little guesswork, but it helps to start with a decently sized opening, because you can usually figure out what 1 and 2 are from that alone. Of course, actually finishing a board (even if you know the colors) is often not possible with just logic.
