Aber had some nice tea shops last time I was there, but you couldn't get a decent cup of coffee. Thank goodness Costa found them and not Starbucks!

iolaelen, yes, but the natives seem content with the bric-a-brac places, and yet the town is in need of new developments, its practically closing down! Clearing the bric-a-brac shops on Darkgate Street would be a positive move!

LOL! I guess the petition worked out!!!I think though, a balance has been struck where the long established cafes and the Costa bar seem to co-exist (at least from being an onlooker) But face it, more new development is needed, the town is practically closed down! The bric-a-brac shops could be an excellent way of renewing the town with actually popular names, instead the natives want to cling to sentimentality. I am glad such places are being earmarked, its long overdue!
