Actually, the NOAA committee was not able to reach a supermajority opinion and NASA has repeatedly issued separate forecasts:

In 1859 there were thousands of grass fires started in the USA by sparks flying off the telegraph wires. With all of the wires up in the air today, that's a lot of sparks. The telegraph operators in 1859, had fires start on their desks because of the papers for fuel and the large amount of sparks flying in there offices. If it can conduct, it will conduct. All transformers are toast and maybe the wires running into your house will spark. Let's hope that it is not as bad as 1859.

There is very strong evidence showing micromelting of rocks, worldwide and on the Moon. This has been dated to about 15,000 years ago. This shows extremely hot temperatures, for a very short period of time. The Hopi are building mud igloos with 2' thick walls, including a below ground level living area. They are stocking them with three weeks of food. This is a clue about what we can expect. Do you like me rare or burnt to a cinder?

you really think that nasa a government agency would even tell us if they know a major event were going to happen and panic everyone? i doubt it , were the 1921 event and carringto event in a solar max year? last one was 2001
-
Eh... as real as 2011 I guess.

According to NASA, our last solar cycle maximum was 2010/11. Now, they say it is 2013. Seriously, if they want to change the dates they should at least trash old documents.

we should be prepared for solar flare .

Is 2012 real?
Nice video...Although I say no one can predict what the sun is going to do next. Sure we can see and understand that the sun has 11 year cycles, we can study the recorded history of these cycles and their intensities. Sometimes cycles are broken. I myself think we are going to see a weak solar max compared to others in the past. Even though there are now alot of sunspot activity they mostly remain magneticly simple, or activity is short lived. NASA can't predict nothing. NOAA getting it together

@Skyywatcher88 That is very true. That is why I did not attempt to predict anything. I hope that others see that as well. Like I stated in another response, NASA nor NOAA can really predict anything... So being ready as one can be is of utmost importance....I watch your videos.... TY for watching.. I appreciate it...............:)

1. The Sun does not producing climate change at least the global warming we are seeing currently
2 CMEs do not cause catastrophic effects ont he Earth
3 The burst shown at 4:30 is not electromagnetics radiation but protons accelerated during the flare/CME porcess
4 NASA is NOT predicting an extemely active cycle, the forecasts are for a smaller than average cycle and forecasts come from NOAA, not NASA
This is overly alarmist.

@drkstrong Well, TY for watching. The Sun does effect the Earths Climate.....And last time I checked, a Carrington level event has never occurred in our modern day "Electric" dependent society.. If it does, it will be life altering. As for predictions, NASA has changed these several times since this cycle started. Also, they have admittedly never been able to predict a single X-Class flare yet. We could have one in the next few hours and all NOAA can do is say, "we just had an X-Class Flare"
