Tonight I have pulled out much of my Ives for a run. The first set up is the 574 Patriot set from 1930. It has been repainted, not by me and I would like to re-do it someday. Next is a freight set up that is a mixture of various freight cars, most from about the 1923-25 era. They are being pulled by a 1100 steam loco from about 1916. The pilot (cowcatcher) is not original but I like it so it stays. The little red passenger outfit is made up of a #50 Baggage Car, a number 51 Chair Car and a 52 Parlor Car from 1925-27. The loco is a 3200 from 1914-15. Last is a 1612 passenger outfit from 1931-32. This is from the transition era when Lionel made Ives. The loco chose not to work tonight so when running, a nice little Joy Line engine came to the rescue. Also on the siding are a couple of transition era freight cars.
Remember.........Ives Toys Make Happy Boys
Looking like your Patriot set, I still have my 1927 tan S.P. set with 3255, still runs fair, but gets hot. Father found it cheap about 40 years ago in a second-hand store in L.A. And my dad was 9 years old when your 3200 was made. Gee, It's an Ives! Nice old Ives you have here.

@thaihungthinh
Thanks
Not enough of us willing to actually run them. They look much better in motion than on a shelf.

@Margaux177
I'd be a happier old boy if I could afford one of the larger Ives electric steamers:)
