First thing you have to check is that the magneto is working take the cap off the magneto and remove the sparkplugs . Attach a wire to the coils contact tab , place the other end of the wire so it has a gap that the spark can jump to ground turn the kill switch to run . Then turn the engine over , if there is spark at the gap then either the cap is bad or the plug wires are bad . If there isn't any spark then disconnect the wire going to the kill switch and repeat the above test . Dan

No it is a gasoline engine . Have a diesel I am working on right now that when I get the new injection pumps timed right I will post a video of it running also . Keep an eye out for it .Dan

The diesel needs a new cam and cam bearings before I can get it running cam is $750 and I do not know what the bearings will run . I am scared to price them out .

It was on a Hobart 200 amp engine driven welder , that I picked up for $40 ,because the welder would not produce welding current anymore . Not bad for a 18Hp engine . and it had set in the equipment yard where I worked for a year or two before I bought it . Dan

Yes the float was stuck , I have since rebuilt the carb and it starts pretty easy for it's age . Dan
