Aussie County is what it is.

A lot of innovative Australian musicians such as the Waifs, JBT etc would easliy fall within the term Country, in a North American sense of the word.

However these artists self produce, self manage and use terms such as "folk" and "roots" to get as far way from the country label as possible, because that term brings with it very narrow expectations in Australia.
