Dingle Tower
In 1908, Fleming donated the property to the citizens of Halifax for use as a park and proposed the construction of a tower within the "Dingle" to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of representative government in Nova Scotia; the province having been the first colony in the British Empire outside the United Kingdom to have such a form of government.
Purcell's Cove is a community within the Halifax Regional Municipality Nova Scotia Canada on the west side of Halifax Harbour from the Northwest Arm to Ferguson's Cove along Nova Scotia Route 253 .
York Redoubt is a National Historic Site on a bluff overlooking the entrance to Halifax Harbour at Ferguson's Cove, Nova Scotia, built in 1793. It was a key element in the defence of Halifax Harbour in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was a nerve centre for harbour defences, including an anti-submarine net which stretched across the harbour's entrance from Fort McNab on McNabs Island. York Redoubt remained in military use until 1956, and was used in World War II as a command centre. The fort is considered to have the first radar station constructed in the world
Duncan's Cove is a rural fishing community on the Chebucto Peninsula in the Halifax Regional Municipality on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on the Ketch Harbour Road (Nova Scotia Route 349 ), 19 kilometers from of Halifax. The community is located at Chebucto Head.
