@LawrenceAugust The government job is definitely not to force people to accept you, I never claimed it was. But it is definitely the governments job to protect peoples rights, and I believe that is to be treated equally and not to be judged by color or race. I am bored with the conversation, you wish to vote for the Doctor good for you, I think he is a crazy old fool who cant run a newsletter in his own name with crazy conspiracy theories, and it seems so do the voters

@hakaboy6924 In your scenario, I would really question the family who would want to shop at a general store owned by a racist, get gas from a racist, and worship at a church full of racists. I would happily move to get away from that. As far as wishing to serve everyone-- ALL individuals' liberty and choice should be served, above all. Your scenario about the small town implies that these people are victims without choice, held captive. It's not government's job to force people to accept you.

@hakaboy6924 There might be towns that would love to be Black only. I know towns that ARE Korean only, lol. I mean, seriously... you act as if this is a one way street. But most importantly-- You're also implying heavily that this "town" is reflective of ALL the individuals within it. That's a collectivist thought and has nothing to do with PERSONAL liberty. Keep digging deeper with this-- "society" is nothing but an aggregate of individuals, all with their own rights. Collectivism doesn't work.

@hakaboy6924 Equality means I get to choose and you get to choose. If you tell me I HAVE to let you come on to my property, you're violating my right to choose what I wish to do with that which is mine and who I want to associate with. You will get equal right to tell me to leave your property as well. That's equality.PS I would encourage you to realize all that Ron Paul CAN do well. Wikipedia will provide you an exhaustive list. A man doesn't get to his position by chance and without intellect.

@LawrenceAugust I know towns that would love to be white only, I know houses in the south that still today have covenants on the property saying only whites can purchase the house. I believe liberty and freedom are important but never to the point where you jeopardize or remove someone else's and that is where Ron Paul is wrong.
-
@LawrenceAugust My point is if you live in a small town in Florida / South Carolina and your family always has for generations, This small town has 1 general store 1 gas station and 1 church. Imagine Ron Paul gets elected and you cant shop buy gas or worship because you also happen to be black and are forced to move because nearest town in 30 miles away. I know towns that would love this and to me if you dont wish to serve everyone get out of serving the public
-
@hakaboy6924 Public services should absolutely be protected by law. Agreed. The issue is private property. There has to be consistency, is the point. And to allow the Federal Gov't. to dictate who an individual "must" allow onto his property is to infringe on that individual's right to property. I don't agree with people that discriminate, but that's the point. I don't have to. And I don't have to go into his place of business, either. He has choice. So do I. That's freedom. That's liberty.

@LawrenceAugust That is were we differ I would rather African American/Mexican people be served and live where they want and can afford, not just in the communities and businesses that will except them. Equality to me trumps any personal rights I may perceive myself to have. Regardless of Ron Pauls morals I can't vote for someone who cant run a newsletter

@hakaboy6924 "Forcing" integration is a sketchy prospect, truthfully. Look at a typical lunchroom in a school of mixed ethnicities. By and large, people sit with those of like backgrounds. You will see *some* natural segregation. It's not a bad thing, really-- it's people just relating to each other. Same with all the clubs that people form-- voluntarily. I don't see it as racist if I'm not let in an Asian American study group because I realize that *SOME* people like to identify within groups.

Alex, in case you didn't see the article. Then you can google the article about the President of the NAACP stating specifically that he is NOT racist. Now I think he's more of an authority on the subject, rather than those seeking to smear his character. Those newsletters were not even written in Ron Paul's manner.

@Surrealbeliefs look in the video description, I like to the NAACP leader speaking, but thanks for the heads up.
