Following an act of vandalism at Al-Farooq mosque in South Nashville on Wednesday, Feb. 10th, the Muslim community joined allies from throughout the city to reject intolerance and reaffirm our collective spirit as a Welcoming City in two events the following weekend. Leaders from throughout Nashville also drew attention to human consequences of irresponsible journalism, directing particular focus to the sensationalist New Channel 5 report Inside Islamville, which aired earlier this week.

In this clip, the Imam of Al Farooq Masjid thanks the community for their collective response to the vandalism.

  • Unfortunately we have a lot of Christian extremists who try to stir hatred against Moslems. They are very welcome to go back to Europe. We are proud to be a nation of immigrants.

  • NASHVILLE DOES NOT NEED A MOSQUE!!! SCHOOLS NEED MONEY AND PROTECTION FROM VANDALISM. A MOSQUE IS COMPLETELY NONSENSICAL!! A MOSQUE IN NASHVILLE WILL CREATE ONLY ONE THING: VIOLENCE...

  • @CATMERLINO1 your retarded they just clean it

  • Ok and now we will be selling our daughters off to be married in exchange for this nice herd of sheep.
