this game is purely for the casual gamer.being a 5 year il-2 pilot-this game comes no where near the realism of il-2.the graphics on the other hands are stunning- probably the best currently out.the flight model is VERY forgiving(easy to fly even at SIMULATION diff)and damage done by weapons is waay too unrealistic(as seen in this video) the 202 had 2x12mm nose machine guns and sometimes had 2x 7mm wing machine guns Being able to light up a VERY heavily armored p-47 like that is unheard of irl

This Macchi has an alternate camo, btw, looks nicer than this jaguar one

The alternate camo has diagonal green and grey lines, with a yellow tail with the plane description on it.

@unkowndrunkenfrankli I look forward to the next leap in these games. The eye candy gets better & better. I'm all for it. And I too, in this video (and I like both planes) thought that if something is going to go up in flames with a couple bursts, use a Ju 52 or something. One critique I have of IL2 '46 is (full real) is it doesn't reward you for long range shooting. Debris will fly all day but never a lucky shot to get something smoking, let alone fire.

@lollogelataio did you manage to pass the level of the transporters to Pitomkin already? you have to kill a shit load of Ju-52's by night with an IL2-Sturmovik. I just can't seem to get through this level since there are just too many of those things and you have to kill em all. Do you happen to know a way? there aren't any cheats yet.

Yeah I don't think a P-47 would light up so easily. Cool game though!

well the dmg looks unreal the p47 its a very good plane for diving attacks because of their armor and very powerfull engine so dont think that a couple of hits could bring it down like that but overall a really good game
