Its a massive topic and something I may tackle at some point but I'm still learning myself so my advice might not be advantageous to ya!!

Check the tutorials and forums on zbrush central its covered in-depth for each 3D software...I will do a run through though very soon!!

Nice. You shaded the high and low tones. Would that look good with a very bright out door scene rendering? I guess some spots are too dark for a texture. Like they were some intense shadows created by a light source in a dark room. My advice is that, you need to paint your textures generally in a diffuse color sense. Don't add too dark or too light shadows and highlights. Make them in mid skin tones generally. Not that i am very good at texturing but it's just an advice from an artistic vision.
