great guy, will be sadly missed, I was shocked to learn of his untimely death, BUT if we were not supposed to eat animals, then WHY are they made out of meat (just a joke, BUT seriously there isn't anything wrong with eating meat) I only eat Chicken and Fish, though, not red meat!

I think in a way the point is right, it is a drastic change especially all at once. It feels great all at once, but still it's a major body change changing a lot of things. But I think he was just a late bloomer as far as changing to a healthier diet. I went vegetarian about a year ago, wanted to lose weight, change to something holier, and had kidney stone problems. Haven't had a kidney stone since.. so at least he hopefully died with less illnesses, until his heart attack

Looking at the big picture . . . a study has shown that vegetarians have a 32% lower risk of heart disease than meat-eaters. That study involved 45,000 people, and it was widely reported on by major media outlets such as ABC News.

died of cancer, mostly from meat. infact going vegan probobly slowed the cancer down

exactly. he became vegetarian then vegan in an attempt to reverse serious health problems through eating meat but obviously the change came too late.  He was a nice guy...RIP MCD
