40 years ago today, Duane Allman was killed when his motorcycle collided with a flatbed truck in Macon, GA. He was 24. This is a tribute to him and the Allman Brothers Band.

@jeupaume Yes, Dickey wrote, sang, and played the second solo. All Duane did was make it great.

Nice tribute to Duane, but Dickey Betts wrote, sang AND played the 2nd solo of that song. You really ought to at least show his picture during his playing time...

Great video..and yes, Duane you are missed. Why some of you might not believe this..The Allman Brothers spent a lot of time in Tuscaloosa, AL. I lived there for 17years..and had the opportunity to meet an old hippie that dated Duane, named Fredia. Send me a private message for more details.
