Video is uploaded with the expressed permission of Pastor Tim Warner. There will be a total of 4 videos uploaded eventually. This is the first one, night one.
This is night one of a four night debate between Tim Warner and Chuck Doughty. The overall topic of this debate is, "Will Christ Literally Reign on Earth in the Future?" The topics for this night were the Rapture, the 144,000 and Armageddon. The debate format was as follows:
-50 minute Opening Statement from both
-30 minute Rebuttal from both
-10 minute Closing Statement from both
-Question and Answer Session
Tim Warner is a Pastor at Oasis Christian Church in Tampa, FL- http://www.oasischristianchurch.org He is also the founder of http://www.answersinrevelation.org and the Pristine Faith Restoration Society- http://www.pfrs.org He is Post-Trib and Pre-Millennial in his eschatological view.
Chuck Doughty is an Evangelist in the Church of Christ and the Chancellor of Christian Kingdom College in Winchester, VA. He is Amillennial in his eschatological view.
I won't beat around the bush friends. This debate was a slaughter in my opinion. Tim Warner won it hands down. I have the same position as him, although we don't agree on absolutely everything. Check out his website, http://www.answersinrevelation.org for more great resources on the end times and eschatology. You will find more debates on there with other views, as well.

@antb2u No problem my friend. "Amillenialism" - "A" = negates, "millennialism" = one thousand years. In other words, they don't believe in a literal thousand year reign of Christ. They believe in a spiritual/figurative reign of Christ now, and from Heaven, not on Earth or in the future. They also believe that the final resting place of the saints is in a spiritual body (not a physical body) in Heaven and not on the New Earth/Jerusalem. I will upload the other ones as soon as I am able...

is there any way to burn this to a cd? or dvd? my bible study group has had a few discussions on pre-tribulation rapture. The general concensus is that we will be lifted up before the tribulation. I do not agree.

@skellys3 thank you so much. I thought it was just me. Being a babe in Christ and busy studying everything I can get my hands on, I appreciate that you sent this to me. Since my faith and beliefs are where Pastor Warners are, I was anxious to see maybe I had missed something or misunderstood something in my studies. I have never even heard of Amillennialism and do not know what that means. Do you know when the rest of this will be added?

I don't understand how they can believe that the earth will not be destroyed in light of
Rev 21:1 "Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."
jforsy01 1 month ago
@jforsy01 Pastor Tim doesn't believe that and I don't believe that because the Greek word for "new" in that passage and every other passage that refers to the "new heaven" and "new earth" doesn't mean "new in space and time". The Greek word translated as "new" means "refreshed, unworn, unused, to return to its prior state".

@skellys3
What verses do you site for this and how do you resolve these?
Isa 34:4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll
2Pe 3:10 the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
2Pe 3:12 the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
Mat 5:18, Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away

@jforsy01 What verses do I cite for this? No verses are required to be cited. I gave you the definition of the Greek word. How do you deal with the Greek word and what it means, in light of your view? Your view, that the current heavens and earth will be annihilated or cease to exist can't possibly be right in light of the meaning of the Greek word that is translated as "new".
