Josie Wilson was my great aunt she was my grandpa's sister, Don Wilson is my mom's cousin, my Aunt Josie was his mom. My sisters and I have spent many times with him for birthdays and get together s with them. My Aunt Josie was the founder and Manager of the Ventures! She was our favorite aunt always so stylish and funny! She is greatly missed!!!

@LADYSEASTAR I posted a comment on this long ago, but apparently got lost in cyberspace ....Josie Wilson is the Mom of Don Wilson(Rhythm), Josie founded the Blue Horizon label for The Ventures in 1959 & was the long-time manager of The Ventures...Josie sadly passed-on in 2002, but her spirit is heard each time they play.

Kudos, Stu - my highest compliments to ANYONE who does what they can to keep the magic of The Ventures moving forward. And may Josie rest in blissful peace!

God bless you Stupullen for posting all these absolute gems from the best instrumental group of all time.I bought this vinyl L.P.back in 1961 and played it to death. Its really great to hear all these tracks without the stylus jumping grooves.

i love this song, the melody and arrangements are great. i played Ventures music in the 60s as a young teen on Maui. we had a hot band for play by ears guys. i also had a very dear sweetheart who's name is Josie, she used to watch me play and i used to watch her surf. she went on to be with the Lord in 1970. so this song really is special to me.
