You cannot, you have to use a SD Card

How well does it work with a Mac?

Very, very well in iMovie HD. Problem is, you have to import files and it converts them to AppleIntermediateCodec files (=40 GB per hour).

It's a shame iMovie HD doesn't handle AVC-HD directly.

if you want see real Canon HF10 quality ....look my videos....I have the HF10 too and I upload in HD...

That'd be from YouTube taking video that is recorded at a maximum of 17mbps and dropping it right down to 2mbps, no matter HOW you upload it. It's crappy how they do it, yes, but...

Will this camcorder work with regular imovie that comes with macbooks or do you have to get imovie hd??
