My son is 16 years old. He's a Jr in high school. He's always played soccer, basketball, and some baseball. In May 2008 he decided he would try football. Wow!!! What a choice that has become. He can kick a 70 yard kickoff and 55 yard field goal. Watch out SEC!!!

  • I wanna be a kicker next year. I played soccer my whole life with my friends but my negative is that I weigh 300lbs maybe less or more

  • @tashtan1 Thank you for watching our son's clip. Our son is 6'2" weighs 185 lbs. When he was a Jr in HS he dead weight lifted 400lbs. So he isn't a wimpy little kicker. I seen a lot HS kicker who were heavier than my son. They did a lot of the power kicking. (kick offs) You're in HS once....go for it. Wish you much success. Subscribe to my page so you can get updates of his college kicking.

  • wow hes just like me, i can kick a 60 yard punt right now and getting better, and im gona be a sophmore next year

  • @jigsawltbvids Awesome. I'm so glad you are doing well. Keep it up.

  • Great video thanks for posting. One piece of construction criticism is your son's steps. I believe he could dramatically improve with a one, two step instead of a stutter step. This could greatly improve his distance on place kicks.

  • @MoonUnitProduction Thanks for your helpful remarks. He doesn't have a problem with distance. Adjusting from HS to college size goal post has been his biggest issue. College goals are 4'10" more narrow than HS. Since he only played 2 season of HS then he earned the starting kicking positon as a Freshman college kicker...he had to learn fast. He got 23/25 PATS but his field goals were 9/18 with the longest being 42 yds. He's got a lot of practice time and things to learn. Again thanks.

  • @tashtan1: Then do it. I was about 265 and played place kicker and since my school was so small I had to play linebacker too. Play wherever you're needed and wherever you can help your team.

  • Nice kicking but I wana see were the ball landed and how much hang time it had

  • This is great, I know this video was posted a long time ago, but if he has not improved on his stutter step kicking then that should be his #1 prioritie. But good video and I hope he succeeds

  • @decade03 Thanks for watching the clip.
